According to reports, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson disclosed in his soon-to-be published memoir that Queen Elizabeth II had been diagnosed with bone cancer prior to her death.
Gyles Brandreth, a royal author, also wrote about the rumors of Queen Elizabeth II’s cancer in his book, according to a report.
The official cause of Queen Elizabeth II’s death on September 8, 2022, was old age, which represents a decline in the body’s functions due to aging rather than any illness or stringent condition.
However, Boris Johnson revealed in his soon-to-be published book that Queen Elizabeth II was diagnosed with bone cancer during her concluding years. He also discussed his friendship with the late monarch, including facts from their final encounter at Balmoral Castle in September 2022, just days before her death.
According to passages obtained by the Daily Mail, the former mayor of London stated that he had been aware for a year or more the Queen was suffering from bone cancer, and her doctors were similarly concerned that her health could deteriorate rapidly.
Prior to the meeting with the queen, Edward Young, the queen’s private secretary, informed Johnson that Queen Elizabeth II was not in good health.
The former prime minister of the United Kingdom is not the first to reveal Queen Elizabeth II’s bone cancer diagnosis.
In December 2022, royal novelist Gyles Brandreth writes in Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait that there are reports circulating that the queen is suffering from a rare form of bone marrow cancer called myeloma. Additionally, Brandreth said that the diagnosis would account for her fatigue, weight loss, and the movement problems they frequently encountered in the final year of the late monarch’s life.
Although the official reason of Queen Elizabeth II’s death was stated to be old age, the palace has never revealed her comprehensive medical report.
After the queen died, her elder son, King Charles III, succeeded her as king. He has been diagnosed with an unidentified type of cancer and is currently receiving treatment.
