Rest on the faithfulness of God

God knows what lies ahead. Nothing takes Him unawares; not even the fears that seem to create conflicts within our souls. We may sometimes grow weary and and faint; our hearts may sometimes be overwhelmed, but God knows no anxiety and loses no sleep over any matter.

When our faith slips into doubts and unbelief, or our confidence into fears and uncertainty, God remains God and never alters the terms of His promises to us. He knows our frames that we are weak. He knows we are mortals and full of frailties and so relies not on us in order to bring to pass His good word concerning us. In our moment of faithlessness, He abides faithful still.

His Word is His bond. His promises rests squarely on His integrity, not ours. He understands that to not perform is not an option, for otherwise He would be no different from the sons of men. There is call to us this week to look beyond our weaknesses and rest on the faithfulness of God. Have a blessed week ahead.
