Seun Kuti Addresses His Views On Prayer And Its Effectiveness

Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti, who is the son of late legendary Afrobeats musician Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has stated that he does not believe in prayer.

Speaking in a video, Seun gave an explanation of his attitude, saying that he finds it performative that people kneel and roll during worship.

“I have never prayed before in my life, I don’t believe it works. All this eye service wey Una dey do, wey Una go go kneel down for ground, dey roll for ground, dey shout, they’re all childishness. Your life is the prayer. What you do with your life is the prayer,” he stated.

These statements reflect Seun Kuti’s personal views on prayer and its effectiveness. As an individual with his own beliefs and experiences, his perspective may differ from others, and it is important to recognize that this is his subjective opinion.
