Singer Portable Reports To The Police Station

Habib Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, a well-known musician, has reported to the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The police had instructed him to report himself to the closest station after he was seen in a viral video attacking a young man by the name of DJ Chicken.

Portable “has reported at the command’s headquarters Eleweran on Wednesday 29th of June 2022,” according to Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer.

He also stated that the Zazu crooner arrived in Eleweran at 5 p.m. with his father and manager and that the State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, drove him to the Public Complaints Bureau office.

Oyeyemi claimed that Portable “was interrogated about his role in the assault meted out to the boy in the video” at the Public Complaints Bureau office.

However, he stated that Portable had been released to a trustworthy surety since the crime committed is one that can be covered by bail and that the state’s current strike action has had an impact on the courts.

“Meanwhile, the assaulted victim has also been invited to come state his own side of the story to enable the command complete her investigation on time,” Oyeyemi stated.
