The Most Influential Person On AIB This Week Is Zack Orji

Zack Orji is a multitalented Nigerian actor, who has made an indelible mark as an actor, director, and producer.

He is renowned for his performance in movies, such as; ‘Glamour Girls’, and ‘Blood Money’.

He was born on October 10, 1960, in the Republic of Garbon, in Libreville. He grew up in Cameroon, Togo, and the Republic of Benin. He is the eldest of seven children.

He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in Enugu state.

Zack Orji made his debut in 1991, in the film,’ Unforgiven Sin’, this starts his remarkable journey in the film industry. He secured the lead role in this film without going through an audition.

He later rose to become a veritable legend in the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood.

Zack Orji is a multi-talented individual. Aside from acting, he is also a singer and preacher.

In the year 2000, Orji ventured into directing. He marked his debut as a director with the popular film “WEB,” wherein he starred alongside Ghanaian actress Kalsoume Sinare.

The film, “WEB” was highly accepted in Nigeria and abroad. The film earned the prestigious Best Collaborative Film award at the Ghana Awards of 2001.

He has been featured in many films, some of which are; “Iva,” “Living in Bondage 1 & 2,” “Karishika,” and “Half of a Yellow Sun,” among others.

In his personal life, Orji finds solace and fulfillment in his role as a husband and father, sharing his life’s journey with his beloved wife, Ngozi Orji, and their three cherished children.
