Toke Makinwa Shares Details About Her Entry Into Nollywood

Nollywood actress and well-known media personality Toke Makinwa has shared candid details about her path into the country’s film business.

In a social media post, Makinwa shared her experience and thanked the diverse parts she has portrayed while revealing that she has appeared in five Nollywood films this year.

She claimed that the search required sacrifice because, to her, achieving a goal required giving it her all. She also mentioned that, in order to focus on her acting profession, she had to give up some enjoyable activities.

She wrote“5 movies with yours truly, the second half of the year and I’m fully in my Acting Bag. Thankful for growth, and grateful for versatile roles too. I’m really doing this guys.

“There has been a lot of sacrifice too. I’ve missed out on so many fun things happening but there’ll always be time to turn up some more. Once I commit to something, I chase it with everything.

“I look back now and I’m thankful it didn’t happen cos I was not half as confident or even good or ready for the job. Today I’ve grown, I’m still learning but I’m much more confident. The dream is not wrong, the timing must be right to protect you.”
