Ukraine Tells Mother Of Captured Russian Troop To Come And Collect Their Sons

Ukraine has invited mothers of Russian troops to come to Kyiv to retrieve their hostage sons.

In a clear attempt to mock Moscow, Ukraine’s defense minister stated: “A decision has been taken to hand over captured Russian troops to their mothers if they come to collect them in Ukraine, in Kyiv.”

According to the Kyiv Independent, Ukrainian people are giving detained Russians drink and food and allowing them to call their mothers via video chat.

This is just after Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister, Iryna Vereshchuk requested assistance from the International Red Cross in repatriating the corpses of Russian troops, according to Metro UK. She said, “There are thousands of invader’s bodies. This is a humanitarian need.

“We ask for the bodies of the invaders to leave Ukrainian territory and go to Russia.

“We call upon Russians again to make it so that there are fewer bodies of your sons, of your men, otherwise, there will be thousands of them. I say it again, victory will be ours.”

According to the Ukrainian military, a platoon of Russian soldiers who surrendered last week said they were unaware they had been ordered out to kill.

The platoon’s commander is supposed to have stated in a statement released on Thursday that he only learned about the invasion the day before and thought they were heading home.

According to a comment attributed to the commander, Konstantin Buynichev, “Nobody thought that we were going to kill. We were not going to fight – we were collecting information.”

Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova, reaffirmed the assertions at a news conference in Washington, DC on Thursday.

Its been seven days since the Russian troops invaded Ukraine, and it is not progressing according to plan.

Troops have been running out of resources since they didn’t bring enough with them, assuming of a swift win in Kyiv.

Supplying soldiers has become more difficult as a result of the three-pronged offensive.

The Ukrainian people have resisted the troops considerably more forcefully than anticipated, and the longer the operation continues, the lower their morale will become.

Ukraine has sustained severe damage and loss of life as a result of Russia’s heavy missile strike, which began on February 24.

The attacks have targeted Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital city, where President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is now stationed.

According to a Kremlin spokesperson, Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to resume discussions with Ukraine tonight in an attempt to settle the conflict.
