White House Slams Trump’s Nobel Prize Snub

Published on

The White House has sharply criticized the Norwegian Nobel Committee for granting this year’s Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, overlooking U.S. President Donald Trump.

In a post on X, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung accused the Nobel committee of favoring “politics over peace”.

Cheung stated on X: “President Trump will continue making peace deals, ending wars, and saving lives.

“He has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of his will.

“The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace.”

White House condemns Trump snub

Trump has consistently asserted that his administration’s diplomatic achievements deserve a Nobel Peace Prize.

He reiterated those claims earlier this week, highlighting his role in securing what he described as the first phase of a Gaza ceasefire, which he claimed was the eighth conflict he had helped resolve.

Speaking on Thursday, October 9, Trump said, “Whatever they do is fine. I didn’t do it for that. I did it because I’ve saved a lot of lives.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
