Woman Goes Ahead To Buy 6 Wedding Dresses For Her Marriage Even Though She Is Single
It’s fairly uncommon for people to start planning components of their dream wedding at a young age, long before they’ve even met the person with whom they want to settle with.
Although most of us have a broad concept of the type of place we want to book or the overall color scheme we want to use, one woman has completely acted too soon and begun purchasing stuff for her big day – even though she isn’t even in a relationship.
In a snapshot of a Reddit shopping review, the woman explained that she has previously purchased not one, but six different wedding dresses and that all she needs now is for a boyfriend or girlfriend to propose to her.
Her positive review, which she gave for an unidentified wedding gown store, read, “Wow! I ordered 6 wedding dresses and this was the one. Except nobody has asked me to marry them yet! But now I am ready for when it happens!
“It’s stretchy and the perfect length. I’m 5 feet 6 and a 1/2. I love this dress. I have a 34D chest and I wear size 6 pants.
“Now I need a manhunt or a woman hunt – I’m open to anything!!”
According to the screenshot uploaded online, the woman gave the outfit a flawless five-star rating, and her review was rated “helpful” by 145 people.
People on Reddit were divided about the post, with many claiming that the woman’s behavior did not appear “healthy” or “normal”
Someone said, “It’s sad that there are women that want to find a spouse to have a ceremony and not the opposite. I say women because it’s more common in women, for sad cultural reasons I suppose.”
While another said, “I don’t understand how crazy weirdos like this find anyone that wants to marry them. How can you put up with that?”
Some other users, however, defended the woman, saying there was nothing wrong with being “confident” and having great “energy” about getting married.
One user said, “She sounds so confident honestly I don’t see why people are crapping on her. Wedding dresses can be nice decorations.”
Another person said, “Purposefully ordering multiple wedding dresses before you’d need one is weird, but in the case of someone happening to find the perfect one while (regular) dress shopping/thrifting I don’t see a problem with buying it right then and having it just in case.
“This is more for the non-traditional ones, the kind that’s not expensive, you won’t find next season, but you’re pretty sure you’ll still like it in a few years. In these circumstances, it’s not weird or desperate.”
