The results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for prospective students have been made public by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
In a post on its official X account on Wednesday, WAEC made the announcement and directed candidates to its portal to view their results.
“UPDATE: The WASSCE (SC) results for 2026 have been made public. The examination body stated, “Create your PIN at waec.org and view your results right now on waecdirect.org.”
Between April 21 and June 19, 2026, over 1.9 million candidates from all over Nigeria took the test.
According to WAEC, candidates cannot check their results until they have their PIN and Serial Number.
Candidates must go to WAEC’s official website and choose the “Serial Number and PIN” option at the top of the page in order to generate the necessary credentials.
After that, they must choose the right exam year and diet, enter their National Identification Number (NIN) and examination number, and confirm that the NIN they provide matches the one they used to register for the test.
In order to obtain a One-Time Password (OTP), candidates must also supply their phone number and email address.
Candidates can retrieve their PIN and Serial Number after entering the OTP, which they can then use to check their results via WAEC Direct.
WAEC has truly done an impressive job by releasing the 2026 WASSCE results promptly. Their efficiency and commitment to timely updates demonstrate their dedication to supporting students and stakeholders. This swift release is a testament to WAEC’s continuous efforts to serve the educational community effectively.
