The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared an all-out war for 2027, resolving to win all available elective positions in the state.
The resolution was reached on Monday at a high-powered stakeholders meeting held at the party Secretariat in Abakaliki.
The State Working Committee, led by Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, convened the meeting, which was attended by heavyweights including National Assembly members, House of Assembly members, all 13 Local Government chairmen, APC LG chairmen, and all party candidates for the 2027 elections.
Chairman Emegha charged stakeholders to close ranks and work in synergy.
“All the stakeholders must work in synergy within their various senatorial districts, federal constituencies and state constituencies. The party must not lose any of the elective positions to the opposition parties,” Emegha declared.
Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate and Senator representing Ebonyi North Zone, *Peter Nwebonyi*, and the member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, *Chinedu Ogah*, assured the party leadership of total readiness.
They pledged that all candidates will close ranks and work together with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a landslide victory for the APC in Ebonyi.
On her part, ALGON Chairman and Executive Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area, Mrs Helen Aduga, spoke on behalf of all council chairmen.
She pledged unwavering support for all local government chairmen and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them by the governor, the party and stakeholders by working tirelessly for the party’s victory across the state.
The meeting comes as APC intensifies early mobilization across the South-East, with Ebonyi seen as its strongest foothold in the zone. The party currently controls the governorship, all three senatorial seats, and a majority of House of Assembly seats in the state.
With opposition parties like the Labour Party and PDP plotting a comeback, Ebonyi is shaping up to be a key battleground in 2027.
