Secret Service Agent Made Strange Call Before Trump’s Attempted Assassination

According to a recent report, a sequence of missteps by the U.S. Secret Service enabled potential assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks to effectively put a bullet into Donald Trump’s right ear.

The July 13 protest in Butler, Pennsylvania, was marred by technological glitches that impacted Secret Service drones, as disclosed in a report from the bipartisan Use Senate probe.

A toll-free 888 tech support hotline was called by the agent in charge of the Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) ‘to start troubleshooting with the corporation.’

When the other drones with the problems ceased operating, there were no backup drones.

It took several hours to get the drones back up and running, and the agent in charge of the drone operations had only three months of expertise using the equipment.

The report released on Wednesday, September 25 concluded that the failures ahead of the rally were “foreseeable, preventable, and directly related to the events resulting in the assassination attempt that day.”

Before being taken out by a countersniper, the now deceased 20-year-old gunman managed to kill one rally participant, gravely hurt two more, and struck Trump in the ear.

That day, Crooks was crouching with an AR-15 rifle atop a nearby structure a short distance from where Trump was giving a speech.

It took him fewer than 150 yards to fire eight shots in Trump’s direction while the former president was speaking.

The US Congress is currently debating additional funding for the US in order to support manning and retaliation measures in response to the two unsuccessful attempts on Trump’s life.

However, the Senate report revealed that with extra resources, the Secret Service participated in other questionable tactics, resulting in security problems at the protest that day.

‘The repercussions of those mistakes were catastrophic,’ stated Michigan Senator Gary Peters, the Democratic head of the Homeland panel.

Investigators discovered that there was no clear chain of command between the Secret Service and other security agencies, as well as no plan for covering the structure from which the shooter ascended to fire the bullets.

Officials were using various radio channels, resulting in missed conversations, while an inexperienced drone operator was stranded on a helpline because his equipment was not working properly.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
