Omolara Olaiya, the wife of actor Olaniyi Afonja, popularly known as Sanyeri, has cleared up misconceptions about her 15-year marriage.
Omolara announced her divorce on her Instagram today on December 4, 2022, revealing that she had been separated for nine years.
The Canada-based businesswoman said she prefers happiness to drama and maintains a warm relationship with the actor for the sake of her children.
Sanyeri’s estranged wife also warned that anyone who interferes in her private life should take care of themselves.
She wrote: “This is to clarify some misconceptions concerning my marriage and private life.
People need to exercise caution, especially against adults with children who may choose to maintain warm relationships for their children. That doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re doing. Not everyone wants media in their private lives.
“I’ve been single for exactly nine years and it wasn’t all about raising children with my ex-husband.
Although we no longer live in the same country, I am doing my duty well and doing what is expected of a single mother and woman with children.
He also fulfills the same duties and fatherhood towards our children. If you still choose to be insensitive after all this, do not bring it here. I do not tolerate anyone interfering in my private life. I choose happiness over drama, but anyway, thank you for staying at Omolara Olaiya Jimoh. ”
As of this report, actor Sanyeri has yet to respond publicly.
Sanyeri and Omolara got married in 2007.
They are blessed with two children.
