Airbus Ships More Than 70 Aircraft In September, Industry Sources Say

Airbus shipped more than 70 aircraft in September following a late push to clear delays and accelerate customer handovers.

Airbus shipped just over 70 aircraft in September following a late push to clear delays that had built up earlier, according to industry sources.

The provisional figure has not been confirmed by Airbus, which declined to comment ahead of the release of its monthly industrial bulletin.

The company is expected to publish its official figures on October 8, when its latest monthly industrial data is due to be released.

The September performance comes after delays earlier in the year slowed the pace of aircraft handovers, prompting efforts to improve the flow of completed aircraft to customers.
