Ajimobi’s Daughter Abisola Passes On

Abisola Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of Abiola Ajimobi, the late former governor of Oyo state, has passed away.

The entrepreneur died on Thursday in the United Kingdom at the age of 42. While the exact cause of her death remains unknown, Abisola was said to have battled breast cancer for several years.

Teslim Folarin, the former senator representing Oyo state, also announced her passing in a tribute via his Facebook page.

Folarin extended his condolences to the Ajimobi family. He also described her death as an “unfillable void” while sharing his “personal experience of knowing Bisola”.

“I am deeply saddened to receive the news of the passing of Mrs. Bisola Kola-Daisi (Nee Ajimobi), the beloved daughter of my cousin, the late Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, and former first lady of Oyo State, Her Excellency (Dr.) Florence Ajimobi. Bisola’s untimely death has left an unfillable void in our hearts, and I can only imagine the pain of a parent burying their child,” he wrote.

“As someone who had the privilege of knowing Bisola as a dear family member – she was like a daughter to me – her passing has left me with a profound sense of personal loss.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Ajimobi family, particularly former First Lady, H.E Florence Ajimobi . May God grant us the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”

Abisola was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi in 2010, and they had three children together. She also served as a special adviser to Atiku Bagudu, the minister of budget and planning, until her demise.

Our heart goes out to the Ajimobi’s and Kola-daisi’s family. We are so sorry for your loss. May her soul rest in perfect peace.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
