Al-Hilal To De-Register Neymar From Their Squad

Al-Hilal, a Saudi club, is allegedly getting ready to remove Neymar from their roster for the remainder of the campaign.

The Brazil star signed a two-year contract for £130 million each season with the Saudi team in August after completing a £78 million move from PSG.

But last month, while representing Brazil in their 2-0 World Cup qualifying loss to Uruguay, he sustained a catastrophic knee injury.

Neymar’s left knee broke both the meniscus and the anterior cruciate ligament, according to tests. The Brazilian will miss the remainder of the season and will have to fight to heal in time for the Copa America in the United States next summer.

Arriyadiyah, a Saudi Arabian news outlet, reports that Al-Hilal intends to temporarily halt his registration because of the injury.

According to the regulations of the Saudi Pro League (SPL), a team may only have eight non-Saudi players on their roster.

According to the report, Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus is eager to bolster his squad in January and plans to bring in a foreign left-back.

Furthermore, after talks with the club’s management, Neymar will now be rested until his injury heals, as Al-Hilal already boasts eight international players.

Yassine Bounou, the Moroccan goalkeeper, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Malcolm and Michael, two Brazilians, and Neymar are the players who are currently registered.
