Renowned American rapper Wiz Khalifa shared his perspective on relationships and marriage saying couples should date at least for ten years before getting married.
The father of two believes that before a couple pops the question, they should date for at least ten years to get to know each other and their families better.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast, Wiz Khalifa said, “People should date for 10 years before getting married because that’s long enough to know the person, their family, and who you’re going to deal with when you move in together.”
When asked whether couples should cohabit before marriage or wait until after they are wed, the 37-year-old said: “It depends on the situation and the circumstances. Some people move in right away and still need time to figure it out.
“If you don’t move in right away, you’ll learn that there’s one version of the person when you’re not sharing things and a different version when you are.”
On July 8, 2013, Wiz Khalifa married model Amber Rose, and the two of them had a son that same year. Citing irreconcilable differences, Amber filed for divorce in September 2014.
Their marriage was legally dissolved in 2016. Wiz is currently dating his girlfriend of five years, Aimee Aguilar, whom he recently welcomed a daughter with.
