Brutal Assault at Command Secondary School Sparks Outrage

A disturbing incident has rocked Command Secondary School in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, as an SS3 student, Maryiane Okonkwo, was allegedly brutally beaten by school bursar Farouk Ohieari. The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with concerned individuals calling for urgent intervention and accountability.

Reports indicate that Maryiane was assaulted on school premises, and the school has refused to release her to her mother for proper medical treatment, allegedly to avoid public scrutiny. There’s also speculation that authorities might quietly transfer the bursar instead of holding him accountable.

This incident raises concerns about the safety and well-being of students in schools, particularly those with military affiliations, where parents might be intimidated into silence. The incident underscores the importance of heightened vigilance and protection for students.
