Buhari Praises Moroccan Football Team For Making Africa Proud

Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Morocco’s football team, the Atlas Lions, and the country’s ruler, King Mohammed VI, for making history at his World Cup in Qatar.

In a congratulatory message from spokesman Malam Galba Sheriff on Monday in Abuja, Buhari praised the Atlas Lions for becoming the fourth team from an African country to qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals.

The team also qualified for the first time in Africa in the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Buhari said Morocco has made the entire continent proud for its courage and skill, giving hope that the African team could indeed win and should win the ongoing world championship in Qatar. .

Buhari praised the team’s skill and teamwork and said this would not have been possible without the exemplary role of the Moroccan authorities in putting together an impressive squad.
