Chelsea: Gary Neville Speaks Of Danger With Allowing Americans In English Football

Gary Neville, a former player for Manchester United, has once again warned against Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, and American participation in the English Premier League.

Boehly led the group that, over the summer, purchased Chelsea from former Russian owner Roman Abramovich.

After spending more than £250 million on new players, the American fired Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and replaced him with Graham Potter.

Todd Boehly has also expressed his intention to bring an All-Star game in the style of his native country to the Premier League.

The plan is for players from the north of England to compete against their southern equivalents.

Additionally, the multibillionaire businessman acknowledged he was not opposed to the idea of the European Super League.

However, Gary Neville has concerns about the American, and according to Metro, Neville said, “I keep saying it but the quicker we get the Regulator in [English football] the better.

“US investment into English football is a clear and present danger to the pyramid and fabric of the game.

“They just don’t get it and think differently. They also don’t stop till they get what they want!”
