Davido, a Nigerian singer, claims he hasn’t decided which presidential candidate to support in 2027.
The “Assurance” hitmaker stated in an August interview on News Central that although his uncle, Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, has supported President Bola Tinubu, he does not feel compelled to follow suit.
“I shouldn’t have said we aren’t supporting anyone for president because my uncle declared his support for Tinubu immediately after he won the election. But as for me, I’m not compelled to support anyone. Personally, I haven’t seen anyone I want to support,” he said.
“In the past, I’ve supported Atiku when we were in the PDP. Also, in 2015, when the APC was formed through a merger, my late uncle Seerubawon was part of the party, so I supported the APC. But right now, I don’t have a presidential candidate. That might change, but it definitely won’t be the APC.”
