Denola Grey: “Many Older People Are Not In Happy Marriages”

Nollywood actress and media personality Denola Grey has voiced concerns over the older generation’s fixation on marriage.

In spite of the fact that many of them are unhappy in their marriages, he believed that many of them frequently wonder why the younger ones won’t marry.

The fashion designer claimed he couldn’t follow in the footsteps of the older generation, who met someone, got married quickly, and barely made ends meet.

When Denola Grey spoke as a guest on a recent podcast program, he compared the experience to slavery.

He said; “When will you marry? When will you fix your marriage? How about that? I don’t know why they are so obsessed with marriage because a lot of them are not in happy marriages especially like the older generation I’m like so you want me to just like meet someone, marry them and just be managing them. Like, I hate slavery.”

Marriage is not easy. It takes compromise, sacrifice, and revealing yourself to another person. However, if you are willing to work and submit to the process, it promises great reward.

To make your marriage work, you have to love more, pray more, have hope, have faith, and have perseverance.
