Nigeria afrobeats singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has responded to inquiries on his participation in the Edo governorship race.
Davido revealed on X that he was engaged in the result of the election since his late mother, Imade Veronica Adeleke, was from Edo State.
He brought up his prior support during uncle Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the Osun gubernatorial race.
The singer wrote: “My mom is from Edo for those wondering why I’m interested in the election … but we as Nigerians should be concerned sha .. @inecnigeria shame on you I know how many times I had to come in here and rant before they got it right in Osun ! It’s really bad. God help us.”
Davido had earlier endorsed PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo for the Edo election on Instagram.
