Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, James Faleke, the representative for Ikeja Federal Constituency, has obtained the All Progressives Congress’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
Faleke, who is also the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, received the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms from Suleiman Argungu, the APC National Organizing Secretary, on Tuesday in Abuja, after the process was declared open.
The formal start of Tinubu’s reelection campaign is signaled by Faleke’s collection and payment of the N100 million forms on the President’s behalf.
The governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2027, while the Presidential and National Assembly elections are set for Saturday, January 16, 2027, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The commission also declared that the party primaries will take place from April 23, 2026, to May 30, 2026, including the settlement of any associated disputes.
INEC added that the presidential and National Assembly campaigns will start on August 19, 2026, while the state assembly and governorship campaigns will start on September 9, 2026.
