The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel, today August 1, 2025, received the MTN Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Team on a strategic courtesy visit to his office.

The delegation led by Mr. Musibau Olanrewaju (Senior Manager), included Engr. Toyin Akomolede and Edomwonyi Omosuyi; and their technical partners, Mr. Orlando Zhang and Mr. Daniel Li.

The MTN CSR team unveiled plans to partner with the LCDA in establishing an ICT Hub, alongside a training initiative for 100 youths in the community. The programme aims to empower participants with digital and technical skills thereby enhancing their employment, mentorship, and enterprise support. The partnership initiative is themed: “Itire-Ikate Goes Digital.”

In addition, the MTN team pledged to support the upgrade of the Council’s ICT infrastructure, enabling the LCDA to host Google Meet, Zoom, and other virtual meetings —aligning with the administration’s goal of enhancing digital governance as part of its first 100 days in office.

Welcoming the delegation, Hon. Daniel expressed gratitude for MTN’s commitment to youth empowerment and digital innovation. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to strategic partnerships that foster sustainable development and digital transformation in Itire-Ikate LCDA.

This collaborative effort further reinforces the Chairman’s resolve to drive inclusive growth and bring Itire-Ikate into the forefront of 21st-century digital advancement.
