JAMB Orders Public Universities To Conclude 2025 Admissions By October

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed Nigerian public universities to finalized their 2025 admission processes by October 31, 2025.

As outlined in the board’s schedule, private universities are required to wrap up admissions by November 30, 2025, while all other tertiary institutions—both public and private—are expected to complete admissions by December 31, 2025.

This directive was detailed in JAMB’s weekly bulletin on Monday, August 18, which noted that the decision stems from agreements made during the 2025 Policy Meeting, chaired by the Minister of Education.

JK. JAMB stated that this measure seeks to stabilize theacademic calendar and ensure fair access to admission slots across all tertiary institutions.

“Public universities are to complete admissions by 31st October 2025. Private universities by 30th November 2025. All other institutions, public and private, must complete admissions by 31st December 2025,” the board declared.

It also encouraged institutions to finalize admissions ahead of schedule, even if their academic session is not set to begin immediately, emphasizing that admissions should be conducted and archived to prevent delays.

Additionally, the board directed institutions conducting post-UTME screenings to complete them promptly to adhere to the 2025 admission timeline.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
