Hip-hop singer and businessman; Shawn Corey Carter, better known by his stage as Jay-Z, has responded to allegations that he s*xually assaulted a 13-year-old in 2000 while working with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
These allegations are so heinous,” he said in a statement. The rape lawsuit was launched as a civil action by an unnamed woman.
‘Heinous’ is how Jay-Z has responded to the accusations, which aim to ruin his and his family’s reputation. He declared that they would not accept money from the woman’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, and accused him of trying to blackmail him. “I’ve done some research on this lawyer, and it appears that they frequently use similar theatrics.
“I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human being Mr Buzbee,” he said in a statement.
“My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age (Blue Ivy) where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” he said. “I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at a young age. It is unfair to try to explain the inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and the human spirit.”
“My support goes to true victims of rape worldwide,” he continued. He cautioned Buzbee about his “dreadful” mistake of assuming that all celebrities are the same.
