The well-known American politician Kamala Harris has disclosed why she will not be seeking public office at this time.
Kamala Harris recently told Stephen Colbert that she was disappointed with the way US politics were going at the moment.
“I always believed that, as fragile as our democracy is, our systems would be strong enough to defend our most fundamental principles. I think right now that they’re not as strong as they need to be”, She stated.
She claims that democratic institutions are insufficiently robust to uphold core values. Harris underlined her dedication to public service, saying she plans to visit the nation and interact with people in a non-transactional manner.
“I want to travel the country. I want to listen to people. I want to talk to people. I don’t want it to be transactional where I’m asking for their vote”, She noted.
