Kwankwaso Announces Revival Of Fuel Subsidy

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Nigerian Democratic Congress’ (NDC) vise presidential candidate, stated that the party would reinstate fuel subsidies.

If his party wins the presidential election in January 2027, he claims the subsidy will take on a new form.

In an interview with Arise TV, Kwankwaso said that Nigeria has become a “total mess, economically” as a result of President Bola Tinubu’s decision to eliminate the subsidy on his first day in office.

There are a number of ways to reinstate the subsidy without going back to the old system, according to the former governor of Kano State.

“We’re bringing back fuel subsidy in our own way. There are so many ways to do that. Now we have a refinery built by a businessman and I am sure more will be built.

It is common for everyone to make promises and assurances. While we hold onto hope and trust that they will fulfill their commitments, we also understand the importance of accountability. We sincerely hope and pray that all those who make promises will follow through and deliver on their words, for the betterment of us all.
