Man Arrested For Allegedly Defiling Minor Inside A Mosque

A 40-year-old man simply known as Abiola was taken into custody after it was allegedly discovered that he had defiled a 14-year-old minor (name withheld) at the Olorunloba Mosque lavatory on Ondo Road in the state’s Ijebu-Ode region.

According to Punch, the suspect has more than 15 years of mosque membership. The victim was reportedly taken advantage of by the accused on March 4 following the conclusion of the afternoon Muslim prayer at the mosque when she was using the loo.

The victim said to the police that she had gone to the lavatory of the mosque in order to pass a stool. She clarified that not long after using the loo, she heard a knock on the door.

The survivor further stated that she had thought the knock was from her younger brother, who had also come for the prayer, but was shocked to find the suspect standing by the door when she answered it.

She surprise noticed Aro near the door and told the police that she was attempting to figure out why he was in the women’s lavatory.

Then, according to reports, he pushed her back into the bathroom and pressed her up against the wall.

A police report on the incident reads in part: “As a result of what Aro did, the survivor started bleeding uncontrollably from her private parts. She went back home to report the matter to her guardian, who took her to a general hospital in the area for medical attention.”

The state police public relations officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the occurrence.

“The suspect has been arrested and detained for alleged defilement. He will be transferred to the State CID in Abeokuta immediately after the preliminary investigation is completed,”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
