One royal novelist has hinted that Meghan Markle has rather different ambitions, raising doubts about Prince Harry’s possible return to the UK.
Royal author; Omid Scobie claims that the former Suits actress “never wants to step foot” in England again.
In 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the royal family and relocated to Montecito, California, where they now reside with their two kids, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie. The connection between Harry and Meghan and the monarchy has been strained ever since, but Harry has returned to the UK on multiple occasions, including in February to see his father, King Charles, after his cancer diagnosis.
Royal supporters have speculated that future peace negotiations would be feasible. It’s unclear, though, if Harry would go back to his home nation by himself.
According to Omid Scobie, Meghan has no plans to go back. The pair last traveled to the UK together in 2022 to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. Scobie claimed in his controversial book Endgame that Meghan “never wants to step foot in England again” because she “never really felt at home” there.
The Duchess of Sussex, according to Scobie, “never wants to be involved in the British monarchy again.” But Harry is “ready to forget” about his arguments with the royal family, according to Scobie.
The Duke of Sussex was cited by the author as saying, “I’m ready to move on past it. Whether we get an apology or accountability, who knows: who cares at this point?”
After the 2020 release of Finding Freedom, Scobie’s second book with a royal theme was Endgame.
According to one description, Endgame is a “penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy.” In the past, the Duke of Sussex has shared details about his family and his intentions to visit the UK again.
“So, my life in California and my family are as they are. I’m going on other travels. In an interview with Good Morning America, he stated, “That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”
