Mo Bimpe, a Nollywood actress, responded to her husband’s endearing AMVCA speech.
Lateef’s film Lisabi took home the Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) and Best Makeup awards at the 12th AMVCA on Saturday. He dedicated his award to his wife, who has given him three children, as he accepted it.
“We won again! So speechless. I owe a lot to you all for the show of love; from the overwhelming celebration of our kings, to the outpouring of love to me personally, and then the big win of last night, I’m so grateful.
LISABI was a mega project that took so much from me personally. It was my first time doing something on that scale with my man, and this award for the sequel to Lisabi only goes to show that, truly, fortune favours the brave.
Special thanks to everyone who worked on the project with us. My heartfelt gratitude to BABA DUDU @niyi_akinmolayan, the cast and crew. This is a win for all of us.
To the AMVCA institution @africamagic, thank you for recognising our work; we don’t take this for granted, and we promise to go even harder next time.
Hmmmm, To my man @adedimejilateef, my partner, my husband, and the father of my kings, thank you for all. I still have goosebumps from your speech on the big stage last night. Thank you for the honour. Thank you for everything! I love you today more than I did yesterday; I will love you tomorrow more than I love you today.
Thank you, Africa!”.
