Isaiah 4:2-6 Psalm 121(122):1-2,4-5,6-9 Matthew 8:5-11
THINGS WILL TURN AROUND FOR YOUR GOOD!
Many of the Lord’s most wonderful deeds occurred in Capernaum, showcasing His power and divinity, yet the city rejected Him. Today’s Gospel highlights humility through the story of a Centurion who asked Jesus to heal his servant. The Centurion, recognizing his unworthiness, believed Jesus could heal with just a word, reflecting true faith.
He understood Christ as the Great Commander of heaven and earth, unlike the Jewish leaders who doubted Him. Jesus declared that Gentiles would be part of God’s kingdom, many Jews would not. We too must trust in God’s love and providence, trusting only Him to turn things around.
