“Na We Know Where The Shoe Pinches”– Ex-Miss Pepeiye Responds To Papa Ajasco Criticisms

According to reports, Ayoyinka claimed that his income is impacted because Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP) restricts his ability to make money from the Papa Ajasco character outside of the show.

In response, Wale Adenuga clarified that Ayoyinka is permitted to work on advertising projects with WAP approval, characterizing the actor’s assertions as exaggerated and a “public show of comedy.”

Speaking about his experience, Kayode Olaseinde—also known as Pa James in the series—acknowledged that living expenses cannot be met solely by production earnings.

Bolatito Sowunmi, who joined the series in 2006 but left after ten years, asked the public to show empathy rather than condemn seasoned actors for talking about their difficulties in a thorough post on her Facebook and Instagram pages on March 22, 2026.

Sowunmi wrote:

“Those criticizing Papa Ajasco for being open should relax. We were there, we know the difficulties. Not everyone seeks social media clout, which is why many remain silent. Some believe I’m downplaying the concerns of an older colleague, but I am much younger than him. He was working before I joined the team.”

“I resigned for reasons known only to me, and there’s now a talented young lady in the role. I’m focused on my life, so please don’t use me as a benchmark.”

“I will never speak ill of Wale Adenuga Productions. They have provided a noble platform for creatives, and it is truly appreciated,” she stated.

The industry is tough. How many genuine actors who uphold their values are actually thriving? Social media often creates a misleading impression,” she added.

“If an older colleague speaks up, the best response is to support them however you can. Life is too short for unnecessary judgment. If someone says they are struggling, believe them. Do you want them to stay silent and suffer in poverty?”

“I have adopted the nickname ‘Ms Eagle’ so fans can easily follow me. Miss Pepeye belongs to Wale Adenuga Productions and is a registered trademark. Any actor playing that role has access to the name only during their tenure,” she concluded.
