Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has clinched the Peoples Democratic Party ticket for Kogi Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The affirmation, announced Thursday by her Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mike Idoko, followed a district-wide exercise conducted across all 57 wards in Kogi Central.
Party members and supporters turned out en masse for the simultaneous ward-level affirmation before final collation at Kahal Cinema, Okene, where stakeholders and leaders gathered to conclude the process. INEC officials and members of the media monitored the exercise to ensure transparency and due process.
Speaking after the collation, Natasha thanked supporters for what she called an “overwhelming show of confidence and unity,” saying the turnout reflects trust in their collective vision for progress, inclusion, and development.
“This affirmation is not about one individual; it is about our people coming together in unity to deepen democracy and build a stronger and more prosperous Kogi Central,” she said.
The senator pledged to remain focused on delivering sustainable development, justice, and opportunities for all constituents, and assured close engagement with communities across the zone.
