Netflix secures exclusive broadcasting rights for all 104 matches of the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra.
Netflix has secured exclusive live broadcasting rights for the 2030 FIFA Men’s World Cup in Spain and Andorra, marking the streaming platform’s first time broadcasting the men’s tournament.
Under the agreement, Netflix will stream all 104 matches live, alongside pre-match, half-time and post-match programmes tailored to Spanish audiences. The coverage will also include daily match roundups and programmes leading up to the tournament.
The deal marks a major expansion of Netflix’s sports broadcasting operations as streaming platforms compete for rights to major international sporting events.
The 2030 World Cup will be hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay staging special matches to mark the centenary of the competition. The tournament will celebrate 100 years since the first World Cup was held in Uruguay in 1930.
Netflix has also secured rights to the 2027 and 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cups in the United States and Canada, extending its involvement in international football broadcasting.
