Never Cease To Pray

Saturday of week 32 in Ordinary Time

3 John 5-8
Psalm 111(112):1-6
Luke 18:1-8

It is imperative to maintain a continuous practice of prayer. Prayer serves as a vital means of communication with God, extending beyond mere requests. We engage in prayer because we recognize God as our loving Father, who desires to share His divine essence with us.

Our reliance on God affirms that with Him, all possibilities are attainable. St. John Paul II articulated that prayer signifies an acknowledgment of our limitations and dependence. We originate from God, are sustained by God, and ultimately return to God.

In the gospel narrative, Jesus exemplifies the significance of dependence on God and the necessity of persistent prayer. Prayer functions as the breath of the soul, reinforcing our continuous connection with the divine. We persist in prayer as it is the key that unlocks the heart of God the Father.
