Nicki Minaj Announces New Date For Postponed Manchester Concert

Nicki Minaj has announced a new performance date at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena.

The rapper and singer had to reschedule her performance after being arrested in the Netherlands on Saturday.

“OK guys, I was JUST RE-ADVISED that we actually CAN NOT do any other date for the make up #gagcityMANCHESTER date besides JUNE 3rd,” she stated on X.

“So JUNE 3rd is the new official date for all ticket holders who initially purchased tickets for the MAY 25th #Manchester event. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I sincerely hope you can attend the # JUNE 3rd performance. It’ll be quite special. Ticketmaster will contact you to provide official notice.”

Minaj claimed she spent almost six hours in jail at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport on Saturday before being allowed to fly to the United Kingdom. Fans were allowed inside the freshly opened Manchester arena at around 7 p.m. on Saturday for her gig, but promoter Live Nation announced at around 9.40 p.m. that it would be postponed.

Dutch police said a 41-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly attempting to transport “soft drugs” from Schiphol Airport to another nation.

The force later stated that it had released the “suspect and she can now move on” after paying a fine. It represented the latest postponed event at the Co-op Live venue, which has been plagued with troubles since it attempted to open in April.

During the last-minute postponement, Minaj thanked supporters for being a “class act” and welcomed them to her hotel in the heart of Manchester before speaking to the masses outside.

The music singer, best known for the songs Starships, Super Bass, and Anaconda, live-streamed her arrest on social media and claimed the drugs discovered in her suitcase did not belong to her. She played at Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena on Sunday.
