Now Is The Day Of Salvation

Monday of week 11 in Ordinary Time

2 Corinthians 6:1-10
Psalm 97(98):1-4
Matthew 5:38-42

Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

In today’s first reading, St. Paul delivers a powerful message that ignites our spirits! He reminds us that even in the toughest times—when we face persecution, feel the weight of injustice, or endure hardships like hunger and sleeplessness—we have the incredible opportunity to showcase our commitment as God’s servants.

We’ve got to harness our inner strength through purity, wisdom, patience, and kindness! With a spirit of genuine holiness and unwavering love, we can stand tall against any challenge thrown our way. No matter the obstacles, let’s stand firm and embrace our true selves, guided by truth and the dynamic power of God!

The plan of salvation is unfolding right before our eyes—it’s happening now, not some far-off dream! God’s grace is alive and active in this very moment, His plan for each of us is in motion, and His calling is echoing in our hearts right now!

Imagine what it means to live in this vibrant present! We need to shake off those daydreams sometimes—just occasionally—and immerse ourselves fully in the NOW. Remember the powerful words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.? His declaration that “God’s plan for me is bigger than all my dreams” rings true more than ever!

So here we are, just like St. Paul invites us to be—ready to hear the word of the Lord in this moment! It’s enough! Right now, the Lord unveils His magnificent plan of salvation and shows us how we fit into it. This is the time bursting with grace and blessings. All we need to do is say, “Yes, Lord! Thank you, Lord!” and then we can move forward with joyful hearts! Let’s dive into this adventure together!
