Today, October 17, is the monarch’s 50th birthday. To celebrate, Olori Ashley, the Ooni of Ife’s fourth wife, wrote a heartfelt homage.
She referred to the Ooni as her “crown jewel” and thanked him for every day in a touching post she sent to her Instagram account.
She thought about how lucky she is to be celebrating this important occasion with her partner, treasured the memories they have made, and eagerly anticipated the wonderful times to come.
She wrote:
“Happy 50th Birthday Olowo Ori Mi, my CROWN JEWEL, my love! Every day with you has been a gift, and I’m so blessed to share this milestone with you. Here’s to the memories we’ve made and the beautiful moments still to come. I love you more than words can say. Shame I’m not there today, but it’s for a good cause.
