Months after the passing of her only child, Ayomikun, actress Peju Ogunmola has announced her return to the spotlight.
In a video that was uploaded on her Instagram page on Friday, Ogunmola claimed that although the previous months had been “heavy,” she had been supported by the public.
“A new month, a new dawn. The past months have been heavy, but your love, prayers, and condolences have carried me through the storm. Today I rise, stronger, grateful, and ready to embrace my passion again.
The screens have missed me… and I’m back, doing what I love most,” she said.
Previous online rumors regarding the cause of death were disproved by the declaration. After the loss, Ogunmola, who had been a mainstay of Yoruba cinema for decades, had stopped making public appearances.
Fans and colleagues responded to her return announcement right away.
