Powerful 5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Greece

A powerful 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Greece today, rattling the region between the islands of Crete and Antikythera.

The quake occurred at 4:26 pm local time on Wednesday, with its epicenter approximately 13 miles off the coast of Antikythera, according to Greece’s Geodynamic Institute.

The tremor, which originated at a focal depth of 36 miles, was reportedly experienced in certain areas of the Greek island of Crete, as well as in the Peloponnese and Attica regions.

No injuries or fatalities have been reported.

This event follows just five days after a significant earthquake struck the Italian city of Naples and its surrounding areas.

Local residents described hearing a ‘roar’ and feeling a ‘strong tremor’ as the 4.6 magnitude quake hit at around 9:15 am last Friday.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
