Rivers State’s governor, Nyesom Wike pledged logistical support for the campaign of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) on Monday.
Wike made the declaration at the commissioning of the Mgbutanwo Internal Roads in the state’s Emohua Local Government Area.
According to Wike, he believes that the former governor of Kano State is qualified to serve as the president of Nigeria.
He said, “You are a man of integrity, it is unfortunate that we are not in the same party but God will help at the appropriate time. These are the kind of people that should be talking about the leadership of the country. I want to tell you that if you are coming for a campaign here, I will give you the logistic support.”
The Rivers Governor had also made the same commitment to Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, on Thursday.
