Sammie Okposo: ‘We know He’s With Jesus And Singing With The Angels’ – Family Releases Official Statement

The family of popular Nigerian gospel singer Sammie Okposo, his singer Welu welu, has released an official statement regarding his sudden death.

Agnesisikablog previously reported that the music producer died Friday morning at the age of 51 after collapsing.

Okposo’s family say they are comforted by his belief that Okposo is happily singing with angels in heaven.

“We are the consoled because we know he is with Jesus singing with the angels.”

The statement added, “We kindly request that the family is allowed to grieve peacefully at this time.”

Okposo made headlines earlier this year after publicly apologizing for his wife Ozioma having an affair with another woman in the United States.

In an apology shared on his Instagram page, the singer lamented the incident and said it happened in 2021. The singer went on to explain that the development caused him to resign from his ministerial job waiting for a “complete recovery.”
