Saudi Arabia Bends Marriage Law For Ronaldo, Partner

Published on

Saudi Arabia is reportedly trying to bend its marriage laws so that Al Nassr’s new star Cristiano Ronaldo can live with his partner Georgina Rodriguez.

Saudi Arabia’s marriage law prohibits unmarried couples from living together.

However, Spanish news agency Sport has announced that Ronaldo and Rodriguez are living together in Saudi Arabia and are unlikely to be punished for breaking the law.

Ronaldo joined Al Nasrr from Manchester United after his contract with the club was mutually terminated after an explosive interview with the Portuguese star with British presenter Piers Morgan in November.

The 37-year-old has lashed out at Manchester United management, saying the club has seen no improvement since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. He also punched United manager Eric ten Hag, saying he did not respect him.

Ronaldo was officially announced as an Al Nasrrrr player on Tuesday after receiving an enthusiastic reception upon arrival.

He decided to join a club in Saudi Arabia because he wanted to contribute to the development of sports in the region and become a leader of the younger generation.

He also decided to join the Arab club because he “won everything” to win in Europe.

Al Nassr’s deal was worth £173m a year, making Ronaldo the world’s highest-paid footballer. Al Nassr has won the Arab League nine times.
