Shade, the wife of millionaire businessman Razak Okoya, has disclosed that she has not missed anything in life despite marrying her husband at age 21 .
In an interview about her marriage with BBC Yoruba on Sunday, Shade Okoya made this claim. “I have no regrets about marrying an older man,” the socialite said.
She claims that her decision to wed an elderly partner hasn’t stopped her from living life to the fullest.
She said, “My husband has been very generous to me and defends me everywhere. God said this is where I will be. We met each other, and he liked me.
“I’m happy in my marriage to him. He is far older than me, but I don’t think I ever missed out on anything because I didn’t marry a younger man. I remember when he expressed his interest in me – it was straightforward, and he got down to business by meeting my parents and doing the needful in no time.”
At the time of their marriage, her husband who is now 85 years old was already well-known in Nigerian industry. She declared with assurance that she has never felt inferior or deprived because she chose not to wed a younger man.
Okoya provided additional details about her married experience, saying that she has deep satisfaction and happiness, and affirming that her marriage has been fulfilling and rewarding.
