State House Allocates N15bn For Vehicle Purchase And Office Construction

The State House has allotted N15.09 billion for the procurement of tyres for bulletproof vehicles, sport utility vehicles, operational vehicles, and plain cars, as well as the development of an office complex for Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants.

It also requested a total of N5.49 billion to cover the annual maintenance of the Presidential Villa.

The Budget Office of the Federation released the 2025 Appropriation Bill, which disclosed this.

President Bola Tinubu delivered the “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace, Rebuilding Prosperity” to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, December 18, outlining an N49.70 trillion spending plan.

According to the allocation bill document, the State House would spend N164 million to purchase tires for bulletproof vehicles, plain cars, jeeps, platform trucks, and other utility and operational vehicles.

Out of the total, N1.1 billion was set aside for the replacement of SUV vehicles and N3.66 billion for the purchase of State House operational cars.

It claimed that N127.86 million will be spent on the purchase of SUVs for Mr. President and Vice President. The President’s office will bear this expenditure.

In addition, N285 million will be spent on motor vehicles under the office of the President’s Chief of Staff, while N179.63 million has been allocated to the President’s Chief Security Officer for the purchase of security and operational vehicles.

N2.12 billion was set aside for honorariums and sitting allowances, with another N1.83 billion proposed for the development of an office complex for Special Advisers and Senior Special Advisors.
