Asking women what they have to offer has become a popular dating question among younger men, particularly when it comes to selecting a spouse.
Some think men should be prepared to respond to the same question, while others see it as a means of understanding what a woman offers in a relationship.
In a post he shared on his page, American TV host Steve Harvey addressed this concept, writing:
“When you ask a woman what she brings to the table, you better have a table.”
I love this statement because it reminds men to reflect on what they bring to a relationship before asking what a woman brings. Some men have little or nothing on their table, yet expect a woman to prove her worth. That doesn’t mean a woman shouldn’t contribute or support her partner—support should be given willingly, not demanded as an obligation. A man is expected to care for his wife and family, and a strong relationship is built on mutual respect, love, and support.
