Stolen Crude Oil Is Usually Found In Churches And Mosques – NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has accused security forces, government officials, religious figures, and even some NNPC employees of stealing the country’s crude oil.

At the 49th session of the weekly ministerial meeting at the State House in Abuja, the NNPC Group Chief Executive Officer, Kyari, argued that most oil theft is done by Nigerians.

According to Channels TV, the NNPC boss claimed that stolen goods are typically found in churches and mosques and that a group of vandals has been stealing oil in cooperation with other criminals.

The head of NNPC revealed that the nation’s entire pipeline system for distributing petroleum products has been shut down as a result of the situation.

The Group CEO declared that a national reserve company will be created to manage the pipelines on a commercial basis and effectively use them for the transfer of products across the nation in order to further address the issue.

According to him, 295 illegal connections were discovered due to an effort to clamp down crude oil theft, which has made it difficult for oil companies to function effectively.
