In honor of her 40th birthday today, Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo wrote a letter to her creator.
Uche shared pictures of herself wearing a red dress and talked about how difficult, difficult, tearful, defiant, and more the past few years have been. She expressed gratitude to God for His mercy, grace, and unwavering love, saying that without His divine strength, she would not have made it this far.
“Heeeiiii! This is 40! Wow!
I can’t believe it! What a race it has been to get here! God! It’s been tough, it’s been challenging, it’s been joy, it’s been tears, it’s been defiance… all this to get here.
I wouldn’t have made it this far without Your divine strength, Almighty God. Thank You for Your mercy, Your grace, and Your unfailing love through every season of my life.
Thank You, Mother Mary, for fulfilling Your promise to me.
I have seen Your intercession, Your comfort, and Your covering over my life. Thank you, Mama.
At 40, I stand stronger, wiser, softer, fiercer, and more grateful than ever before. Everything I survived shaped me for this moment. Every pain, every lesson, every victory led me here.
Now, Lord, I am ready for this next phase.
Lead me in Your light.
Guide me with Your wisdom.
Protect me with Your mercy.
Strengthen me with Your power.
Direct my steps and never let me go.
